Every Wednesday 7.30 pm at H.O.P.E. Ministries. Last week’s Bible Study Topic overview Topic: Church Structure (part 1) To understand Church Structure, one needs to explore foundation. A foundation is the key to a firm structure -Matthew 16: 16 – 18, Acts 4: 11 – 12, Matthew 7:24 – 27. What is the Church? Church in Greek (ekkesleia) means “called out”. The English word church is derived from the Greek word (kuriakom), which means “dedicated to the Lord”. Structure of H.O.P.E. Ministries - -
- Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church.
- H.O.P.E. Ministries comes under the Patris Fellowship, which is headed by Bishop J A Francis.
- Pastor and Co-Pastor Ian & Joslyn Young. Pastors are the shepherds of the church (Ephesians 4:11).
- Ministers –are there to support the Ministry (Acts 6:1 – 6).
- Trustees – are responsible for the legal and financial obligations of the church (1 Timothy 5: 17-18, Hebrews 13: 7 & 17).
- Co-ordinators –oversees the ministries that they are head of (1 Thessalonians 5:12 - 13).
